Apple and Hyatt Start Launching Hotel Keys in Apple Wallet
2021-12-10

According to foreign media reports, Apple is collaborating with Hyatt to enable some hotel guests to store their room keys in their Apple wallets. You can now use your iPhone or Apple Watch to unlock your room and any other areas around the hotel that require a key to enter, without checking if your pocket has a room key. Currently, only six Hyatt hotels in the United States support this feature, but Hyatt has stated plans to eventually include it in global hotels. But currently, the hotels participating in the event include: the Maui Andaz Hotel at the Villa Resort, the Key West Hyatt Central Resort and Spa, the Hyatt Regency in Chicago/Fulton Market in the West, the Hyatt Regency in Dallas/Richardson, the Hyatt Regency in Fremont/Silicon Valley, and Hyatt Great Wall Beach.

The key will display your room number and will only activate when your room is ready to check-in. If you need to make any changes to the room, you can make the changes through the application, and your key will be automatically updated. After checking out, your key will be deactivated.
