Pet trackers have been around for a long time, but Invioxia is looking for a new smart collar from CES 2022 that can also monitor your dog's vital signs for signs of instability. Of course, the smart collar can also serve as your dog's GPS and activity tracker. Dog fitness trackers typically rely on a combination of accelerometers and GPS sensors. Invixia's method is a bit different. In order to monitor vital signs such as resting breathing and heart rate, Invixia stated that it has collaborated with board certified veterinary cardiologists to develop deep learning artificial intelligence using micro radar sensors - the same as the Soli radar used by Google in its Pixel 4 phone. According to Invoxia CEO Am é lie Caudron, these radars are the ideal choice because they can read readings no matter how hairy your dog is.

Invixia's smart dog collar uses a micro radar to monitor resting breathing and heart rate.
Caudron told The Verge, 'There is a radar facing the neck that sends radio signals that are not reflected by the hair.'.
Another advantage, Caudron said, is that the collar can be hung more loosely and comfortably around the dog's neck. The smartwatches and fitness trackers used by humans are not like this. They require a tighter fit and good skin contact to obtain accurate heart rate readings.
Invioxia is not the only pet technology that tracks dog vital signs. Believe it or not, there is also a continuous heart rate monitoring electrocardiogram vest and Petspace Smart Collar. However, these are more suitable for veterinarians than ordinary pet owners and do not include GPS tracking. (The ECG vest may also require you to rub conductive gel on your dog. If you have fido on your hand, good luck.) The Invoxia collar stands out by combining the traditional GPS tracker with a non-invasive way to monitor vital signs. It is compatible with Bluetooth, Wi Fi, GPS, and LTE-M, and has an escape alarm and built-in buzzer function.

As for activity tracking, Invixia stated that it has collected data from the initial GPS pet tracker for four years. In addition to monitoring vital signs, the collar can also track daily activities and identify when your dog walks, runs, scratches, eats or drinks, barks, and rests. If your dog happens to enjoy running around in the mud, it also has a detachable fabric cover for easy cleaning.
That is to say, the Invioxia collar will mainly focus on your dog's baseline. So far, continuous life monitoring of dogs has not truly achieved sufficient scale to customize according to breed - although some breeds may be more prone to heart or respiratory diseases. However, Caudron does not rule out the possibility of more data.
Tuyang Technology's anti loss device solution
Integrated circuits and reference designs provide you with low-power Bluetooth, material saving design and anti loss AirTag solutions, offering a variety of different beacon broadcast formats, allowing developers to create compatible products, achieve extremely low power consumption and easy to use beacons, and can be widely embedded in centimeter level UWB ranging and angle measurement technology, asset tracking, and other Internet of Things (IoT) services in smartphone applications.

As for why you may even want to know the vital signs of your dog, Invixia says it may be useful for pet surgeries, monitoring pet reactions to drugs, or closely monitoring people with known heart and respiratory diseases. She also pointed out that owners often discover problems with their pets too late. Detecting abnormalities in pet baseline may help owners and veterinarians detect diseases early.
However, there is a problem. Currently, the Invioxia collar is only suitable for medium to large dogs. This is because it is difficult to miniaturize radar technology to a size that is comfortable and lightweight for small pets such as toy dogs and cats. If you have ever installed a large tracker on a puppy, it can make a huge difference in size and comfort
